When will my Housing Benefit be paid by Blackpool Council

On housing benefit with Blackpool Council? Read on to find out when your benefits could be paid.

Existing Tenants

If you're a tenant who already rents a flat or house on benefits in blackpool, you will already be receiving payments to your bank from Blackpool Council. This is usually done on a Thursday every four weeks - note that there is more than 4 weeks in a month, so your payment date for rent will vary each month, and it's possible that one month of the year you'll get two payments

Based on our experience in receiving housing benefit our payments have been received on the following days

This means the next payment is likely to be paid on the following dates in the future:

• 07/05/2015
• 04/06/2015
• 02/07/2015
• 30/07/2015
• 27/08/2015
• 24/09/2015
• 22/10/2015
• 19/11/2015
• 17/12/2015
• 14/01/2016
• 11/02/2016

New Housing Benefit Applications

At the time of writing this article in March 2015 there is a 8-10 week back log for processing new benefit claims for property to let in Blackpool. Once processed, if your claim for rent is successful, your benefits could be back dated to when you submitted the application.
